Deputy Senior Accounts Processor

The Houghton County Clerk’s Office has an opening for a full-time Deputy Senior Accounts Processor position. The position is a Courthouse Union position and will be classified as a T-6 job. Starting wage is $18.52.

Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma and have excellent typing, and clerical abilities.

Medical Death Investigators

The County of Houghton, Michigan is seeking applications for the positions of Medical Death Investigator. These are part time and on-call positions, and members of the Death Investigative Team work under the guidance and directly with the Houghton County Medical Examiner, Dr. Petio Kotov. Applicants must pass a background check, and have a valid Michigan Driver’s License. Successful applicants must also be able to work in all weather conditions, in the evenings and overnights, and potentially at venues where a biological hazard would exist. The County’s Medical Death Investigators work directly with all local Hospitals, Law Enforcement, Emergency Services, Funeral Homes, and with the family members of the victims and the deceased. Prior healthcare experience and/or investigative experience is necessary and preferred.
