Treatment Court Compliance Specialist
The 97th District Treatment Court is a specialty court, spanning Houghton, Baraga, and Keweenaw counties, dedicated to reducing recidivism, increasing participant accountability, and enhancing public safety through evidence-based supervision and treatment practices.
The Treatment Court Compliance Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring participants comply with court-ordered conditions while maintaining accurate records and supporting overall program integrity. This role involves monitoring participant compliance, conducting field checks, tracking outcomes, and ensuring adherence to grant and program requirements.
This position offers the opportunity to combine analytical skills with a meaningful, community-focused mission, working alongside a collaborative team committed to improving lives and strengthening public safety.

Materials Management Facility Manager
This position manages all aspects of the Transfer Station operations for Houghton County.
Management duties will include budget development and administration, staff management, and
responsibilities for daily operations. Develops and carries out policies, procedures and programs
as related to both daily and long-range management of the facility. Assists the planning area with
recycling efforts. Manages the Solid Municipal Waste program and submits documentation and
administers grants. Works toward regulatory and code compliance.

Materials Management Driver Operator Laborer
Houghton County is seeking applications for the Materials Management Driver Operator Laborer position.
The driver/operator/laborer is responsible for transporting loads to the landfill, operating heavy equipment, performing general maintenance, and assisting customers at the Materials Management Facility. This position requires a team-oriented individual with mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic.
License: Valid Michigan Class A CDL (Manual required)
Experience: Prior experience of operating heavy equipment preferred.
