Houghton County is home to some of the most generous and hearty citizens in the State of Michigan, and the 82nd County offers a wide variety of things to do, see, experience, and get involved in. As a special place to visit, live, work, and raise a family, our citizens care about keeping our area a safe, clean, and affordable one. The Enduring Gifts Fund program is designed to provide donors with avenues to address these values, philanthropic opportunities, and measurable outcomes and impacts with their support.

The Enduring Gifts Fund program accepts donations and gifts of all sizes, including one-time cash donations all the way through end of life Estate, Will, and Trust commitments. We are committed to protecting the privacy and integrity of our Donors and their Families, and are committed to our Donor Bill of Rights. We have opportunities across all of our County Buildings, Properties and Departments for donors to make a difference.

The County has been fortunate to work recently with Donors, Citizens, and Businesses who have chosen to support us, and whose donations have helped us to purchase needed equipment for our Sheriff’s Department. These donor funded additions to our County Sheriff Department have made our community and our County safer, and we are thankful for the support.
